Open code. Open books.
Trust should not depend on branding. TOPEYE is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we publish how our tools are built, how support reaches us, and where it goes.
We build open tools, so our operations should be open too. TOPEYE has never taken financial donations. We run on volunteer time and in-kind support from partners who help cover the tools and services needed to build public-interest software.
What transparency means here.
- Open code: our software is public, auditable, and forkable.
- Open operations: we identify the partners and services that help keep the work running.
- Open books: we are refreshing a public ledger that shows itemized income, in-kind support, expenses, and balances.
- Open questions: if something is unclear, we want people to ask.
The ledger is being refreshed.
We are rebuilding the TOPEYE ledger so it can reflect the current shape of the organization: multiple projects, in-kind partner support, volunteer operations, and shared infrastructure. The goal is a record that is easier to read, easier to maintain, and useful to anyone who wants to understand how the organization works.
Until that record is live here, the WOKE Network ledger is the best place to review historical project-level spending, documenting expenditures and earnings from June 2020 onward.
